Tuesday 1st November – Data Analysis training for volunteers
5.30-7.30pm, Cricklepit Mill, Exeter
Join us for Anabat Data Analysis training in Exeter
This training in Anabat Data Analysis will also allow those with good IT skills and an interest in computing, data analysis, accuracy and a meticulous nature to gain new skills which in turn benefit the project.
The Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project will use this information to help guide its work and to inform bat policy and research.. Detectors automatically record all bat ‘passes’, (location, time, etc). but species identification is done through data analysis.
Following the Anabat Data Analysis training this is a home-based role and you will need your own laptop to;
- Receive Anabat detector data from the project team
- Analyse the data from detectors (typically this can take up to 4 hours for the records from each detector)
- Report back to the team
