Date: Tuesday 19th September

Time: 10am-12pm

Horses helping horseshoes – find out how dung is important for the wildlife in our local landscape.

A free event for anyone involved with the management of horses near Berry Head. A chance to discover what beetles are living in dung from your horses, what they do for your paddock and how looking after them benefits everything including the nearby endangered greater horseshoe bats.

Bring along a dung sample from your horse (optional) to discover what dung beetles are on your site, what they do and how these little fellows benefit the environment so far. Find out how to look after these ‘nature’s recyclers’ with help from the Devon Greater Horseshoe Project.
