More information

We all know that trees are great for the environment, providing clean air for us to breathe and a home for  a multitude of wildlife. Did you know that trees are also brilliant for bats? Some bats use trees as roosts, living in cracks and crevices. Greater horseshoe bats use branches to ‘perch feed’; hanging upside whilst echolocating to detect their prey. After swooping down to catch insects, they return to a branch to dissect and eat it.

How to get involved
