Project Team update
Ruth Testa recently left the team after being Project Manager for the last 3 years. It’s not farewell completely though as she has become Manager of the Working Wetlands team so is still working for Devon Wildlife Trust, now based from the Cookworthy office.
Ruth said “After three amazing years working on the Bat Project I am very sad to have said goodbye to the team and the project. The work of the project team and all the partners has been vital in securing a brighter future for the enigmatic greater horseshoe bat. But without all of you – the people who have taken part in the Devon Bat Survey, championed bats in your communities, made space for bats on your land, or shared the wonder of these flying mammals at one of our events – the project would not have been the success that it is. Thank you. The team will continue to do a fabulous job in the final funded year, so make sure you get along to an event or attend the conference and celebrate this beautiful bat with them.”
We’re delighted to announce that Anna David (previously an Advisory Officer) will be stepping into Ruth’s shoes to lead the team, with support from Helen Parr (Community Engagement Officer) who will be taking on some elements of the project. This will ensure continuity within the team and a smooth journey towards the end of our project.
