Hedgeplanting at Southdown Farm

Date: Wednesday 27th of February 2019
Time: 10.30am - 3.30pm
Location: Southdown Farm, Beer

Event Description

Help plant 360 hedge plants on a hedge bank at this stunning coastal location. The new hedge will provide protection and a flight corridor for greater horseshoe bats, as well as a home for other wildlife.

Additional Information

The hedge planting is on a steep bank so you need to be physically fit to get involved.

Please bring a spade and wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear. The ground is quite stony and hard so if you have a planting bar/iron bar this will be helpful too!

Bring a flask with a hot drink and a packed lunch (or you can drive down to Beer Village to purchase food and drink).
