Friday 9th September – Berry Head Bat Walk
18.45 – 20.30, Berry Head Visitor Centre, Brixham
The Greater Horseshoe bats live in the caves formed in the 400 million year old limestone cliffs at Berry Head.
We will begin at the Visitor Centre to see the bats in their roost using the cave camera. We then head out onto the reserve to see how our cows help to feed the bats, before moving on to watch the spectacle of the bats emerging from their roost, using bat detectors to hear their calls.
Berry Head Bat Walk is for people aged 12+.
Cost: £5 adults, £3.50 children. Places limited – book online at https://www.countryside-trust.org.uk/events/month/2016-09.
