Friday 22nd September – Berry Head Bat Walk
Location: Berry Head, Brixham
Date: Friday 22nd September
Time: 6.45pm – 8.30pm
A unique opportunity to see the rare Greater Horseshoe bats at Berry Head, a Geopark Gateway Site. The Greater Horseshoe bats live in the caves formed in the 400 million year old limestone cliffs. We will begin at the Visitor Centre, to see the bats in their roost using the cave camera. We then head out onto the reserve to see how our cows help to feed the bats, before moving on to watch the spectacle of the bats emerging from their roost, using bat detectors to hear their calls.
Organised by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust
Limited numbers, booking essential.
