Chudleigh Orchard pruning event
Date: Sunday 8th of September 2019Time: 10am-11.30amLocation: Chudleigh Town Orchard. nr Millstream Meadow, TQ13 0PG
Orchards are fantastic habitats for greater horseshoe bats. They provide perfect roosting spots as well as lots of insects for the bats to eat.
You’ll find out more about the bat project, as well as more about the Orchard and how to prune the trees. No experience is necessary. If you have a pruning saw do bring it along. Bring secateurs if you have them (they should be clean as they can pass on disease). A few extra ones will be available on the day.
The event will not go ahead if the forecast is rain. You will be contacted to arrange a different date.
We advise the wearing of gardening gloves and suitable outdoor clothing/footwear.
Park on the road by Millstream Meadow. An alleyway takes you to a footbridge across Kate Brook leading to the Chudleigh Town Orchard. Post Code TQ13 0PG
