Berry Head Bat Walk
Date: Friday 25th of May 2018Time: 8pm - 9.45pmLocation: Berry Head Main Car Park
A unique opportunity to see the rare Greater Horseshoe bats on an evening bat walk at Berry Head National Nature Reserve.
The Greater Horseshoe bats live in the caves formed in the 400 million year old limestone cliffs. We will begin at the Visitor Centre, to see the bats in their roost using the cave camera. We then head out onto the reserve to see how our cows help to feed the bats, before moving on to watch the spectacle of the bats emerging from their roost, using bat detectors to hear their calls.
Suitable for: Adults and children over 13, all children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Please wear stout footwear and suitable clothing for the evening.
Parking is available at the main Berry Head Car Park, pay by phone or coins.
