Bat Team update – Covid 19

Bat Team update – Covid 19

In accordance with Government advice and to safeguard staff, volunteers, visitors and the general public, Devon Wildlife Trust has had to make some changes to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. This means that some staff, including the Bat Project Team, have been furloughed at the present time.

Devon Wildlife Trust remains open and work continues to cover all administrative functions. There are a small number of nature reserve staff working to manage livestock, deliver essential maintenance and to handle any health and safety issues.

A reminder that the Bat Project Conference has been postponed until Thursday 17th September, and Devon Bat Survey is on hold for now.

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our website for further information, and to watch the live camera feed on our home page to see if you can spot the first bats entering the maternity roost (usually sometime in May)!.

For now though, we’d like to say thank you for your interest and support for the project.
We hope you and your families stay safe and healthy.

Best wishes from the Bat Team
